Phytochemical analysis and antioxidant activity of three flower colours Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat

Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. is an important medicinal plant. To learn more about properties of this plant, the present study was aimed to evaluate the phytochemical analysis and antioxidant activity of three colours (pink, yellow and white) flower of Chrysanthemum morifolium. Spot phytochemical screening of these three colours of C. morifolium in the ethanol extract showed that alkaloids, phenols, flavonoids, glycoside and terpenoids were present in studied three colours (pink, white and yellow) flower but saponin and tannin were absent in pink and yellow flower. Free radical-induced oxidative stress is the root cause for many human disease.
