Abstract
Arsenic (As) stands as one of the most alarming contaminants, presenting a formidable challenge in the realm of drinking water across numerous countries. To deal with this challenge, the sequestration of arsenic by Adsorption has been extensively investigated in the solid media . Here, a sorbent system based on a polyphenolic network with physical cross-linking using tannic acid and Zr IV ions is investigated for high binding, which is in the form of metal sequestration. The derived solvent system of nano adsorbent molecules was characterized using x-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopic (EDS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic techniques.
