Abstract

Time series of future streamflow plays a vital role in planning, designing, and management of the water resources system. There are many forecasting methods available and most of them are rather simple to the extent that they fail to perform adequately in capturing complex relationships between variables. Artificial neural network (ANN) is a comparatively newer technique, which generally exhibits extraordinary performance in solving this particular predicament.
