Abstract
Human face recognition plays an important role in video surveillance, human-computer interface, personalizing different applications. In this paper, we present an approach to detect and identify a human face from the real-time video that tracks a face and compares it with stored data of known individuals. Our approach recognizes an individual within a fraction of a second which completely ignores any background effect. It also shows additional information about that individual. Besides, this method also works on different lighting conditions which make it suitable to execute its purpose in a wide variety of environment without encountering any significant error.
