Abstract

A low power consuming bulk-driven design of an Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) has been proposed in this paper. The design and simulation of the OTA is carried out using 90 nm CMOS technology using Cadence design toolkits. A high open loop gain of 57 dB was achieved by using the bulk-driven approach, which required just 3.76 µW of power from a 0.5 V supply voltage. Additionally, the unity gain frequency and phase margin are 6.46 MHz and 56° at 5 pF capacitive load. In general, the output of the suggested OTA is superior to other designs with similar characteristics and the low power consumption makes it suitable for bio-medical applications.
