<i>World Affairs</i> Acknowledgment of Reviewers 2023–2024

Writing an excellent scholarly peer review—as most academics are acutely aware—takes considerable time, effort, thought, and skill. Good reviews not only point out the strengths and weaknesses of a paper in detail with authority and sensitivity but also give significant guidance to authors on how exactly to rectify the weaknesses and bolster the strengths in a revised version, along with invaluable lists of additional sources to help the diligent author do so. Great reviews are constructively critical: encouraging but firm, fair, detailed, and above all useful to the author in mapping out the revisions needed to bring a piece to publication standard.
