Abstract
Rapid urban motorization has brought growth to travel demand and vehicle ownership. Traffic congestion has become an important factor hindering the sustainable development of metropolises. One of the approaches for handling urban road traffic congestion is congestion pricing. This paper presents a model based on the traffic equilibrium theory of urban transport networks, where the influence between trip modes are considered. Most of the existing urban road congestion pricing research focuses on a unimode transport network, which must be extended to the case of multi-mode travel systems. This paper studies the effect of congestion pricing schemes in the multimodal transport network based on a linear corridor.
