Analytical Investigations in Rechargeable Batteries
Authors
Abstract
Nowadays, lifetime of battery is major area of research. It can be modified by some physical and chemical aging processes. To clearly understand aging process of battery, characterization techniques at microscopic level help for analysis of the materials consumed in a cell and tally the finding with measured electrical data. This chapter narrates a blueprint for approaching an aging process by explaining various analytical techniques based on X-ray, neutron, electron, gravimetric mass spectroscopy, and many more. It explores numerous rechargeable batteries, their aging processes, and various analytical techniques along with key scientific issues, followed by the analysis of their glorious applications.
