Abstract
The June 2010 issue emphasizes policy decision tools with papers from many nations, and features another in our series of biographical profiles of leaders in the risk field. First, Barry Ezell and Andrew Collins write a letter responding to a paper by Gregory Parnell, Christopher Smith, and Frederick Moxley(1) about an approach for modeling bioterrorism risk. The authors note that the Parnell et al. approach was not available when the NRC committee was engaged in its analysis of bioterrorism risks, and they disagree with several comments in the Parnell et al. paper. Overall, however, they welcome the paper as an interesting new way of assessing and managing risk.
