Combating Marine Plastic Pollution: Insights from International Treaties, Case Studies in Bangladesh and Regional Perspective

The health of humans, biodiversity, and marine ecosystems is seriously threatened by marine plastic waste. The study offers a comprehensive examination of global and regional initiatives aimed at addressing marine plastic pollution, with a focus on international agreements and case studies from around the world, including those from Bangladesh. This review article employs a qualitative methodology, analysing secondary data from scientific literature, policy documents, and case studies to assess the status, challenges, and responses to marine plastic waste.
