Obesity and Its Related Diseases: A New Escalating Alarming in Global Health

Abstract
At present rising of obesity becomes a principal public global health and economic concern. In 1997, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the obesity as global epidemic. About one-third of the world population is now suffering from overweight or obesity. It is estimated that some diseases, such as hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer disease, asthma, metabolic syndrome, liver steatosis, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, obstructive sleep apnea, certain types of cancer, hypercholesterolemia, metabolic syndrome, musculoskeletal disorders (joint and muscle pains), and type 2 diabetes are increased globally due to obesity.
