Abstract

In the present study, 4-nitro-1-naphthylamine ligand functionalized porous conjugate material was prepared for efficient nitrite (NO2−) monitoring and removal from water samples. The proposed material was formed optical color upon addition of trace amount of NO2− at experimental conditions. Several experimental parameters such as material morphology, solution acidity, contact time, foreign ions, desorption, highest adsorption capacity was measured. The data were clarified that the materials could detect the ultra-trace level of NO2− according to the limit of detection was 0.45 μg/L. The solution acidity was exhibited the key role, and the suitable pH 3.50 were selected based on the signal intensity and adsorption efficiency.
