A least square approach for TDOA/AOA wireless location in WCDMA system

Cellular mobile networks use time of arrival (TOA), time difference of arrival (TDOA), angle of arrival (AOA) or received signal strength (RSS) based measurement techniques for mobile position estimation. Each of these measurement techniques has its degree of accuracy and level of complexity. Individual methods are usually not able to give adequate correct position of a mobile user. Therefore, a common trend is to combine these methods with other suitable techniques to attain enhanced performance.
